Ms. Daman joined The Powell Law Firm, P.C. as an associate in 2004. She received her law decree from Drake University in 2003, where she was certified in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. She was also selected for the Alpha Kappy Mu Honors Society. She graduated from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2000, with a major in political science and minor in criminal justice. She received her degree Magna Cum Laude and received the Most Outstanding Delegate Award from the North Carolina Consortium For International and Intercultural Education in 2000.
Prior to joining The Powell Law Firm, P.C., Ms. Daman served as a Prosecuting Intern for the Story County Attorney's Office in Ames, Iowa. She also served as an Intern for the Federal Public Defender's Office in Des Moines, Iowa.
Katherine has a general civil and criminal practice, including but not limited to, family law, juvenile law, and criminal defense. Her criminal defense practice includes DUI/DWI defense, drug violations, juvenile crimes, misdemeanors, parole and probation violations, sex offenses, and traffic offenses, while her family law practice include dissolutions of marriage, child and spousal support issues, and paternity, custody, and visitation cases. She was born in Waterloo, Iowa, in 1977, and graduated from Waterloo West High School.
